Assistant Operations Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the flow of raw materials and final products from suppliers to Sukau Rainforest Lodge/Sandakan on time and in good condition. They also manage orders and coordinate the stock of materials and equipment to ensure the company has everything needed. Candidate must have a full understanding of overall management of a tour operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop strategic policies and programs for overall tours operations.
  2. Accountable to manage company’s fleet and tour related assets such as vehicle.
  3. Ensure compliance in all aspects of tour procedures.
  4. Oversees the supervision of guides and fleet captains which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
  5. Responds to special requests, as well as guest complaints and inquiries in a calm, prompt, courteous manner.
  6. Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled departmental meetings and communicates projected data.
  7. Resolve guest complaints effectively and upkeep property safety and security.
  8. Handle accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues.
  9. Verifies department and summary logs and assigns, as necessary, job duties to team members.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  1. At least 3 years of supervisory level experience in operations management. Understanding of tour operation overall management.
  2. Have strong customer service skills.
  3. Able to work on flexible time.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office or any computer skills.
  5. Fluent in English both speaking and writing. Foreign language is an added advantage.
