Storekeeper

This position requires candidates to be responsible for the upkeep of the storeroom which includes but is not limited to, stocking operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, and purchasing related duties as required. He/She is also responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and assisting in keeping an accurate inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle and document storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain the storage area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • To work with other departments in regard to cost control.
  • To organize the review, plan and discuss with HODs individually for set par stock department and store in low & high season before year end each year.
  • To perform stock inspection during stock arrival and ensure items received are in accordance with Delivery Order (DO)/Invoices.
  • To ensure items received are in good condition, and to report any damages or discrepancies of items received for rectification and record keeping.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Must be organized and punctual
  • At least an SPM qualification.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu both in writing and in verbal. Foreign language is an added advantage.
  • Have at least 1 to 2 years of storekeeping experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Honest, trustworthy and helpful.
