About Sukau Ecotourism Research Centre

Sukau Ecotourism Research Centre (SERC) is established with the aim to advocate and promote responsible and sustainable practices in business and the communities around Kinabatangan. This is done through the researches that it facilitates, which in turn will positively impact the communities, businesses and the environment there.

However, SERC also functions as an accommodation for budget travellers alike who want to learn more about and experience the natural surroundings of Sukau, Kinabatangan. The centre is equipped with basic facilities, which includes:

  • Common area

Travellers who choose to stay at SERC will indirectly contribute back to the community as it provides them with supplementary income through their services in housekeeping, maintenance, chef, and guide.
