Winners were announced and presented with the awards on the 8th November during the World Travel Mart (WTM) London. On hand to receive this prestigious award was our General Manager and Director, Mr. Baton Bijamin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.borneoecotours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/bton.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4012\" width=\"837\" height=\"557\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.borneoecotours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/bton.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.borneoecotours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/bton-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 837px) 100vw, 837px\" \/><figcaption>Mr. Baton accepting the award for highly commended lodge for Sukau Rainforest Lodge, together with the other commendable lodge representative for the Posada Amazonas Lodge, Peru.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon being asked to comment on the award, Baton said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c<em>Against a stiff competition from a total of 1,200 nominations for 13 categories, it is indeed a big achievement to be chosen as one of two highly commended winners and the only one from the Asia Pacific region.<\/em> <em>To think that ten years ago, most of our local staff at the lodge couldn\u2019t speak English, they have indeed come a long way.
