In the rainforest of Borneo, hidden away by mist and nestled by the mighty Kinabatangan River, Sukau Rainforest Lodge awaits. Nature and luxury go hand-in-hand, as the multi-award-winning lodge.
Indulge in the epitome of leisure at our resort, where every amenity is crafted for your comfort.
Gomantong and Gecko Lounge
Sukau Rainforest Lodge has two seperate lounge and lobby areas where our guests can relax and unwind over a book or catch up with other guests at the lodge. Complimentary WIFI is available at both locations. Wifi signal may be weak, depending on the weather, and the bandwidth limited, as we have to rely on wireless technology due to the remoteness of our location. Gomantong Hall is air-conditioned to help with the humidity while Gecko lounge has open areas with great ventilation so our guests have a choice between the two.
Rainforest Dip Pools
Our rainforest dip-pools are the only swimming pools you’ll find along the Kinabatangan River. Sukau Rainforest Lodge has three dip pools spread across two locations to maximise privacy so you can enjoy the serenity of the rainforest as you enjoy our pools. Even better, each is served by a pool-side bar.
Our two dip pools provide a wonderful way to cool off and soak in the rainforest
Enjoy a drink by the pool

Waterfront Restaurant & Jetty
Sukau Rainforest Lodge is unique in that our Jetty is also the only riverfront Restaurant along the Kinabatangan River where all your meals are served buffet style. Our riverside bar here serves cocktails, mocktails, wines and all other beverages.
Nature Trails Broadwalk
Sukau Rainforest Lodge has a number of elevated boardwalks that link all our buildings so that our guests can explore comfortably without having to worry about leeches or other insects. The Villas are all connected by the aptly named Attenborough Walk which is also great for wildlife watching. Attenborough Walk is also home to our resident Orang Utans, a mother and baby named Lucky and Day (It’s your Lucky Day :p). If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see them. Hornbill boardwalk is an 800 feet long loop to the back of the lodge where our guests can freely explore. We conduct daily complimentary tours here after lunch, talking about the wonders of the rainforest in the medicines and survival needs that it can provide and how people here have co-existed and lived off it for centuries.
Gift Shop, Kadai
Our gift shop has a wide selection of great books to read up on the flora and fauna of Borneo, souvenirs to remember your trip here along with some needed supplies like simple medicines, insect repellant, leech socks and others. We accept cash or credit card here.
