I'm deeply thankful to Borneo Eco Tours for an internship opportunity within one of the richest and most valuable biodiversity spots in the world. Sabah is amazing and BET makes a true effort to keep its integrity. As an Ecotourist and Ecotourism student, I felt really happy to have found a tour operator with such a great vision and commitment towards environmental protection and local development.

To cooperate with BEST Society in capacity building projects - working directly with local communities - made of my internship an irreplaceable experience. The Sukau Rainforest Lodge, where I passed half of my internship, is a true example of an ecotourism business and a pioneer in sustainable development. It was an unforgettable and valueble experience for me to do my internship at BET and SRL, I have learned many things and feel like I have grown a lot. It was especially great to see a tour company which is more than 20 years in business from the inside and outside and to be part of it.

Doing an internship on Sabah, Borneo, seeing all the wildlife and going to the other side of the world is an experience that adds a lot to your life. Of course there are challenges like cultural differences and work challenges, but once you win those, it adds a lot to your life and makes you a stronger person. I would recommend BET to all of those people who would like to see what a sustainable tour company does, who wants to experience what it is like to live on the other side of the world and who wants to see a lot of wildlife.

As a student of business management and hospitality, being able to do my internship and get hands-on experience at Borneo Eco Tours was a great step for me to prepare myself in the working environment of tourism industry. BET has provided me the platform for me to explore and learn not only about tourism but also the work culture. They would be sure to include you in any activities such as training session and recreational activities. Other students from Marketing, IT, Admin and Accounts can also apply for internship in BET as the internship program is not only limited to Tourism students. It will be a good experience for the students who are willing to learn and develop your skills.

Working with BET was an exceptional experience! Everybody was so welcoming and friendly, I felt like I was a part of a big family. My supervisors were extremely helpful during my training, and my colleagues would always assist me when I needed help. The HR team always finds a way to make the workplace less stressful with events and fun gatherings, and it always motivated me to be more productive. Overall, BET is a great company that has helped me in polishing my skills and talents as an employee.
