Adrian understands his clients very well and he does his best not just to meet his clients' expectation but to exceed their expectation. Adrian has his unique skill in interpreting the tour. "Loud and clear" and "friendliness" are the best words to describe his ability to capture his audience's interest. Adrian specializes in botanical and bird watching tours. His knowledge also ranges to cultural aspects. He is able to add zest to his interpretation thus making his clients more cheerful during the tour. Jason graduated from a local collage with a Diploma in Tourism Management with the belief that the Tourism and Hospitality industry is the perfect channel to educate people to conserve Malaysia's nature, culture, and wildlife. One of his favourite things about working as a guide is interacting with guests and learning about different countries from them. Outside of work, Jason enjoys playing football, reading history books, and watching movies. He lives by the motto "Nothing is impossible".

Backed by many years of experience in professional guiding, Jumaidi is an ideal guide for your wildlife, nature or birding tours. Jumaidi is best remembered as both a friendly guide and companion. Always beaming with smile, Jumaidi assures there is tonnes of information for you during his guiding. His motto is 'Never give up, just do the best'.

Rahman's decision to train as a guide was led by his passion and interest in Borneo's unique local culture and the rich biodiversity along the Kinabatangan River. His in-depth knowledge of local culture and bio-diversity make him an excellent candidate to provide guests with a holiday they won't soon forget.

Laurien Yunus

Laurien Yunus

A kind and adventurous soul from the chilly highlands of Tambunan, Sabah! Laurien’s career in Borneo Eco Tours began in late 2014 as one of our captains, before earning his qualification and subsequent promotion as Tour Guide in 2017. His knowledge comes from a lifetime of experiences, including expeditions with Raleigh Malaysia and a deep love for the sea that culminated in his certification as a BSAC Sport Diver. When he’s not bringing guests around, Laurien can be found fishing at one of his many favourite spots in Borneo.

Ahmad Syahfil Huong

Ahmad Syahfil Huong

Started his career with Borneo Eco Tours in 2017, Syahfil is very enthusiastic about his job of guiding especially in trekking. With his slender frame, Syahfil is a fun and adventurous guide who is ready to explore the trails with you. Lives by the motto, ‘You Never Walk Alone’, he believes in creating an enjoyable experience as well as to educate the guests through interpretation that contributes to the sustainability of the local environment. Not stopping there, he is now looking forward to broadening his skill in the birding area.

Marty Marianus

Marty Marianus

Born and raised in Tambunan, Sabah, Marty knew from a young age that he was in love with nature! He turned that love into a passion, earning a Diploma in Tourism and working his early years as a ranger at Danum Valley Conservation Centre. From there, Marty grew to enjoy communicating with visitors from all over the world and learning new things from each other, inspiring him to join us as an in-house naturalist at Sukau Rainforest Lodge for a year, before working his way to his current position – a Tour Guide with a reputation for excellence. Even when he’s not guiding, Marty continues to wear his heart on his sleeve, taking part in various outdoor activities such as photography, birding, fishing, and jungle trekking to be close with nature.

Vincent Yatin

Vincent Yatin

One of our youngest Tour Guides yet brimming with knowledge, confidence, enthusiasm, Penampang-born Vincent holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation Biology. After completing his internship at a local wildlife park, he landed work with Sukau Rainforest Lodge as an in-house naturalist, before earning his stripes as a Tour Guide for Borneo Eco Tours. Vincent loves animals, and enjoys introducing people from other parts of the world to Borneo’s incredible wildlife! In his free time, he can be found hiking the hills around his home village, savouring the beauty of Sabah’s surroundings with his friends.
