Spend four days exploring a true Bornean rainforest sanctuary hidden deep within the heart of Sabah. One of the few places in the world where Orangutans, Pygmy Elephants, Banteng (wild cattle), and all 5 Bornean cats (including the elusive Clouded Leopard) can be found, among other exotic animals as well as birdlife!

Depart from Kota Kinabalu to Telupid in an approximately 4-hour drive. Stop by for lunch at Telupid town, before continuing overland for another 2.5 hours through an occasionally bumpy gravel road to enter Deramakot Forest Reserve. Upon arrival at base camp, check in and rest for a bit until your dinner time.
After dinner, we will proceed for a night drive in an exciting search for the many nocturnal animals that make their home in this rainforest.
Early wakeup call for morning drive at 0500hrs - a good time to spot some of the forest's exotic creatures. Return back to base camp for your breakfast. Afterwards, we continue the jungle adventure with a visit to a nearby trail.
After stopping for lunch, hop onto the vehicle for an afternoon drive to Balat outpost at 1600hrs, before returning back to base camp during the evening.
Enjoy your hearty dinner and at 2030hrs, we will have our last night drive at the reserve. Return back for your overnight stay at the chalet.
After breakfast, free at own leisure before we depart back to Kota Kinabalu.
