Journey overland to Sook, Nabawan, Sapulut for 5-6 hours to reach the Security Gate of Maliau Basin Conservation Area (MBCA) with lunch on route. Visit the information gallery upon arrival and then freshen up before getting ready for the night activity.
After dinner, have yourself an exciting night drive in search of nocturnal animals, with a possible encounter with a sambar deer, beaded pigs, Malay civets and flying squirrels (subject to weather condition). Overnight at the Studies Centre Rest House.

Overnight at Maliau Basin Study Centre (Rest House)
Enjoy morning walk around the study centre. After breakfast, begin trekking through the rainforest near Agathis Camp nestled in hill mixed dipterocarp forest. Immerse yourself in the sound of the wilderness and discover the abundance of unique flora in the dense forest of Maliau basin. Relax enjoying the surrounding rich vegetation. Return to the Studies Centre. After dinner, proceed for a night walk. Overnight at the Studies Centre Rest House.
