Thereafter, visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) and explore the nearby elevated canopy walkway, which is suspended 25 metres above ground. After sunset, go on a guided night walk in search of nocturnal animals. Return to your hotel.
Morning at own leisure.

After breakfast, join in the nature walk along the lodge's Hornbill Boardwalk with the in-house naturalist. After lunch, it will be free at leisure. In the afternoon, proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife.
Just another day in paradise. Spend the day free at leisure by relaxing in the dip pool, exploring the boardwalk areas or tasting refreshing cocktails at the bar. Optional tours are also available to fill up your time.
Rise early and prepare for your trip to Lahad Datu. Your journey begins in Lahad Datu with a warm welcome at the Borneo Nature Tours office, where you will meet your Nature Guide for a brief registration, orientation, and safety briefing. From here, enjoy a scenic transfer to the coastal outpost of W Bay Payang, where a hearty breakfast awaits overlooking the tranquil waters of Darvel Bay.
Following breakfast, the day unfolds with a choice of two distinctly different adventures, each showcasing a remarkable side of Sabah's natural heritage.
Nature enthusiasts may venture into the cool highlands of Mount Silam, a unique "mountain in the clouds" renowned for its rare ecosystem and stunted mossy forest. From the panoramic viewpoints, take in sweeping vistas across the Darvel Bay archipelago before embarking on a guided walk through this extraordinary landscape. The forest's distinctive red soil supports a habitat found nowhere else in Borneo, where you may encounter endemic Red Crabs that blend perfectly into the crimson earth, several species of exotic Pitcher Plants, colourful Hornbills, and the charismatic Red Leaf Monkeys.
Alternatively, those seeking a marine adventure can board a private vessel for an unforgettable journey across the pristine waters of Darvel Bay. Discover the spectacular Blue Ring Reef, Malaysia's only known double marine blue hole, together with the vibrant coral gardens of Laila Reef, where crystal-clear waters reveal an abundance of tropical marine life. Continue to the peaceful waters of Kalung-Kalungan before exploring Pulau Baik, home to a sunken Japanese cargo vessel that has transformed into a thriving artificial reef, offering another memorable snorkeling experience.
After the morning's adventure, both experiences converge back at W Bay Payang, where guests can freshen up before enjoying a leisurely seaside lunch.
In the afternoon, depart on a scenic 2.5-hour overland journey into the heart of the renowned Danum Valley Conservation Area. As the landscape transforms from coastal scenery to towering ancient dipterocarp rainforest, your guide will share fascinating insights into one of the world's oldest and most biodiverse tropical forests.
Arrive at Borneo Rainforest Lodge in the late afternoon, where a refreshing signature welcome drink awaits. After check-in, your Nature Guide will introduce you to the lodge's sustainable luxury facilities and provide a briefing on the exciting experiences ahead.
As night falls over the rainforest, venture into the jungle on a Guided Night Walk or Night Drive, where the sights and sounds of Danum Valley take on an entirely different character. Search for nocturnal wildlife emerging beneath the forest canopy, providing the perfect introduction to your rainforest adventure.
Awaken to the sounds of the rainforest and set off on a morning trek to a scenic viewpoint and the ancient Dusun burial site known as Coffin Cliff. This trail offers both cultural insight and panoramic views of the valley. Cool off in the Natural Jacuzzi Pool before returning to the Lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, explore the 329-meter-long Canopy Walkway, suspended 27 meters above the forest floor, where you can experience the rainforest from a different perspective. Alternatively, for an added adventure, you may choose to enjoy river rafting or jungle cycling, available for an additional fee. If weather conditions limit outdoor activities, engaging in indoor cultural sessions is offered. Or take the time to relax and enjoy the Lodge's serene surroundings.
As night returns, venture out once more on a Night Walk or Night Drive to discover the forest's hidden, nocturnal wildlife.
Begin your final morning with an optional early walk through the awakening forest. After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time before checking out from the Lodge.
Your journey concludes with a return transfer to Lahad Datu, taking with you unforgettable memories of Borneo's coastal beauty and ancient rainforests.
