Tour Consultant

This position is required to promote and book travel arrangements for clients (individual or businesses). The goal is to enhance satisfaction and acquire an expanding and dedicated clientele.

Location : Borneo Eco Tours, Kolombong View Location

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Correspond with overseas travel agents and partners of the company and provide them with accurate, up-to-date, and correct travel information.
  • Determining the clients' specifications and wishes and suggesting suitable travel packages or services.
  • To answer/reply to incoming emails/ WhatsApp/phones with necessary tour arrangements within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Adhering to company quote and booking procedure.
  • Organize the client's travel itinerary from beginning to end.
  • Understand the existing and new products being offered by the company to be better able to fit the clients' requirements.
  • Communicate and maintain a healthy relationship with new and existing clients, representatives, and agents through email, telephone, online video call, or face-to-face.
  • Work with the Tour Coordinator and Operations team to deliver optimal service to clients on the ground.
  • Takes accountability by updating daily sales in the system - Tour Registry cum booking record.
  • To handle and respond to all customer complaints and report to Sales Manager/Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Diploma/Degree in Tourism Management or related field.
  • Proficiency in English, knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening, questioning, and understanding skills to discuss travel plans, itineraries in full, making suggestions, and providing alternatives.
  • Excellent knowledge in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holiday, group/individual, logistic etc).
  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft office; travel related software) and internet skills to work with various web applications and conduct research.
