Really fantastic
Everything was on time and smoothly run. The guides were exceptional! Namely Jimmy (Turtle island), Ferhan (transfer to Sepilock) and Kazree (very conscious and knowledgable in the orangutang sanctuary, also the sun bears and the RDC). We thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip and would highly recommend it all. The food was also good. Thank you all!

A perfectly arranged day. From time of booking online to pick up and drop off at airport everything was fantastic. William handled my original booking enquiry. He is very efficient and offered advice which helped immensely.Any questions were answered promptly. We were collected on day by lovely guide Kas and driver (Irwin?). We visited Lambuk Bay and Sepilok. We never felt rushed . Kas is so knowledgeable and you can see he loves his job and his island. We learnt so much from him and he even kindly helped out photographing birds when I had difficulty locating in trees. He also pointed out many other things of interest during our trip which we would otherwise have missed. Driver also excellent..
Experience of a lifetime- thank you to Yunus, our incredible guide!
We booked Borneo Eco tours as part of our package and we were blown away by absolutely everything! Our guide, Yunus, was incredible and really made our honeymoon extra special. The knowledge Yunus had with the wildlife and even plants surrounding the Kinabatangan river was vast- there wasn’t any question he did not know the answer to! To make things even better, Yunus’s animal spotting skills are second to none- we were lucky enough to see all the Borneo big 5 and other incredible animals during our stay. The accommodation was also fantastic- incredibly to stay in such beautiful rooms in the middle of the jungle! The food is incredible too for lunch, dinner and breakfast. The staff at the Sakau rainforest lodge are all really lovely and truly make you feel at home in the jungle. From the booking process to the actual tour, Borneo Eco Tours was just perfect. Myself and my husband are certainly going to come back again and we will be recommending this company to all friends and family who wish to have the experience of a lifetime!
Magical - with flawless organisation!
From the first email with Borneo Eco Tours, the experience just went from strength to strength. Oviera was absolutely superb in booking our trip and was speedy with email replies despite the time difference. It was easy to book once we had confirmed our chosen tour. When we arrived the hospitality/tour guides and itinerary was flawless. I have never been with a company before that was so organised as Borneo Eco Tours. The staff, shout out to little Vincent was brilliant and looked after us throughout, confirming meet up times and checking we were happy with our room and dining. The tour itself was magical and managed to see the big 5 in the rainforest. I can’t thank this company enough for all of their great organisation skills, friendliness and looking after us making this trip memorable and magical. Didn’t want to leave! thank you for everything! You have a wonderful team working for your company!
Fantastic organisation, amazing guides, unbeatable scenery
We recent visited Borneo and travelled with Borneo Eco Tours. I cannot speak highly enough of the organisation itself and of all the tour guides and staff we met along the way. We were travelling as a family of 5 (2 adults plus kids aged 11, 9 and 7). The preparatory information and planning with Maxwell was brilliant. He was very responsive and answered all our questions, including in relation to the boat transfer from Sandakan to Sukau (which turned out to be absolutely brilliant). Our tour started when we met Paul, our main guide, and the two Vincents. Paul was so knowledgeable throughout our trip, as were all our guides. The river trips were absolutely fantastic - we saw pygmy elephants on the way to the lodge on the first day! On subsequent trips we saw hornbills, snakes, lizards, monkeys, an orangutan, eagles, storks and many more! Our kids were v well looked after and we always felt full confidence in their safety. They took part in Batik art, which is now hanging up at home. The food was great, including for three of us who are vegetarian. All in all, the Sukau Rainforest Lodge was the best place I've ever stayed and Borneo Eco Tours the best tour company. Thank you
Excellent trip to Borneo seeing the Big 5 and more.
We had a package for Turtle Island, Sabah, and Sarawak organised by Clare and from start to finish the communication was excellent. She organised everything so well and her constant emails were sure appreciated. On the ground Farhan was an excellent guide and lovely person. All the accomodation was great as were the activities. Seeing the Borneo Big 5 was amazing. We had a great time overall and loved Borneo.

Borneo Eco Tours were absolutely 1st class. Easy to communicate with, responded immediately and helped us organise use a customised tour of Borneo which was amazing. On time for every transfer. Totally reliable. I recommend them completely
Fabulous trip to Utan Rainforest Lodge
Absolutely fantastic trip to Utan Rainforest Lodge with Borneo Eco Tours. This was our 6th time visiting Borneo but the first time for 14 years. We have always booked our trips with BET and I’m glad to say they are still as wonderful as ever. The Utan lodge is very new but everything was first class - comfortable accommodation, lovely staff (including the staff at Lahad Datu office) , amazing food and most importantly of all fabulous wildlife safaris with our brilliant guide Gbril. We saw some amazing sights including close up view of the Irrawaddy dolphins feeding, flying foxes and Leopard Cats. Only downside was we missed the Ground Cuckoo but gives us a reason to return someday. Overall it was a fantastic trip s d highly recommended.
An excellent trip - Highly recommend Borneo Eco Tours
I did 4D, 3N where 1 night was on Turtle Island. Farhan was my guide from start to finish and I could not have asked for better. Watching the mother turtle lay her eggs, the eggs, be put into the hatchery and some hatchlings released to the water was something magical. Through this experience, Farhan made sure that I was standing in a good spot, would take my phone to make sure that I got the best possible photos I could and really looked after me. On our night, 25 turtles came onto the island, 18 lay eggs, for a total of 1,142 eggs. (You arrive at Turtle Island before lunch and then the mother turtle comes up onto the beach at night. There isn't a lot to do during the day, but you come to see the turtles, so bring a book) That said, there is a video and an information centre that you look over in the early evening. I highly recommend making this a priority on your adventure. I then spent the next 2 nights at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge and Farhan was my guide again here (with another 11 people). We went on 3 river cruises, 1 nature walk and we had a presentation on the Orangutang. During the river cruises, Farhan was a wealth of information on different types of birds as well as the monkeys we saw and he always gave plenty of time for everyone to get photos and to make sure that he was clear on pointing this out. We saw 4.5 of the big 5. The elephant was the 0.5. We heard them trumpeting, I saw a trunk and a silhouette of the elephant but we didn't see them fully to get a photo not for lack of Farhan trying. We went back and forth multiple times and we knew they were "right there" we could hear them, but couldn't quite get there. I would also like to shout out to the whole team. Everyone I came into contact with, be they Max who organised my itinerary, to the bus drivers, the captains of the boats, Melanie who co-ordianted at the lodge, everyone was responsible for food and drinks were warm, friendly and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with how just about everyone you met was doing something "slightly different", but they brought everything together to be seamless. I would highly recommend the area and Borneo Eco Tours, in particular as the Service Provider. Thank you All
Excellent experience
We had an excellent time on this tour! Would particularly like to highlight our guide Jad, he ensured that we had a great experience and we even got to see the Borneo Big 5! Plus the rooms and facilities at Sukau lodge were really good - would recommend.
