3D2N Kota Kinabalu birding with a 9 yr old

We are a family of 3 with a 9 year old who is an avid birder and we opted for the the 3d2n Kota Kinabalu birding trip with Borneo Eco Tours. Right from the booking process we were impressed with the prompt response and professionalism of the tour company. Our guide was Mr. Adrian, a master guide indeed. His local knowledge and ability to spot even the most elusive birds was truly astounding. And it was a pleasure talking with Adrian about everything from cuisine to local culture and history. He made this a truly unforgettable experience especially for our son. We are also extremely glad we had Raydo as our bus captain. He was so patient and pleasant and even helped spot birds :) All in all we had an amazing trip and we will definitely be back for more.

Amazing tour with lots of wildlife

Our tour was the highlight of our trip to Malaysia. We were very lucky with the animals we saw including Pygmy elephants crossing the river. The lodge was absolutely beautiful and the food exquisite. We were well looked after by our guides and the booking was very straightforward too

great Sipadan diving

We booked a 4-day, 3-night tour to Sipadan. Borneo Ecotours booked us into the Borneo Divers Mabul Resort. This was a place geared for diving and it had very good facilities for scuba divers. It was a 4-min boat ride from Semporna. The accommodation was either shared bungalows or rooms in a three-storey building. We had a room in the building. There was a swimming pool with filtered sea water, so it was pleasant because there was no chlorine smell. The room we stayed in was clean, very large and comfortable. The only problem is that the air conditioner faced the bed and so it could get quite cold. All the meals were taken at the Mabul Resort restaurant, which served good buffets. We particularly enjoyed the barbecued crabs and the fresh coconut juice drunk from a coconut. The meal included very fresh fruits. The Resort organised scuba dives to Sipadan and around. They were professionally done and it was great to see schools of bumphead parrotfish near Sipadan. Non-divers accompanied divers to Sipadan for snorkelling sessions. So there was interesting activities for all.

Magical Borneo Adventure

Brandon at Borneo Eco Tours was wonderful to work with. He answered all my crazy questions in a very professional and timely manner. Our experience at Sukau was incredible, and we made memories we will cherish the rest of our lives. Everything was very well planned out and went off without a hitch. I would strongly recommend Borneo Eco Tours if planning a trip to Borneo. The people, the accommodations, the animals, all just so magical.

Amazing week in a pristine rain forest.

My wife and I had one of the most memorable holidays in our lives thanks to Borneo Eco Tours. The planning was spot on and the facilities provided were superb. All the accommodations provided were fantastic. The transfers and tours were very meticulously organised. The guides on the cruises and walks were very knowledgeable and helpful, especially Fernando at Sukau. We enjoyed a delicious Ramadan buffet at the Sabah Hotel in Sandakan. The Sukau Rainforest Lodge on the Kinabatangan river was excellent. The villa provided to us offered a amazing view of the rain forest. The cruises along the river and the canals with both banks teeming with exotic wildlife were very exciting. We were fortunate to have spotted all the Borneo Big 5. Being from India, I never thought I would be so excited to see elephant. But the pigmy elephant herd on the bank of the river were so cute and delightful. The Borneo Rainforest Lodge located right in the middle of the primary forest was also amazing. Never imagined that we would be in such close proximity to the Orangutans. Would definitely like to be back sometime to spend a few days in the middle of unspoilt nature.

Excellent company and an amazing experience

A very well organised company to deal with, the accommodation meals and tours were terrific. Travelling to the Rainforest Lodge by boat was a marvellous experience. The real shame is the shrinking of the rainforest to monoculture palm oil plantations on mass, but we as consumers need to take a lot of the responsibility for that. Especially as the jungle is so incredible.

Everything was well organized and the guides were very knowledgeable. We were fully satisfied and definitely recommend the agency.

Highly Recommended; First Class Operation

The Team at Borneo Eco tours did an outstanding job with all facets of organizing and carrying out our trip. Muhammad Hanif was our contact there and did an excellent job outlining the trip. Everything went smoothly from easily making payments via credit card on their secure site, to arriving in Sandakan and having our guide (Vincent Y) for the city tour meet us right on time at our hotel and offer an excellent and entertaining morning. And that was before we headed out to Sukau. Vincent P had everything organized for our 2.5 hour boat ride to the lodge, stopping along the way to view various things in the jungle. The rooms at Sukau were excellent, the food was very good and plentiful and the morning and afternoon boat safaris were great. We had many excellent sightings on every trip out. The drivers did an excellent job of navigating and spotting and we had many great photo opportunities. And finally, our return trip and back to the airport went off without a hitch. We were met at the dock in Sandakan where our stored luggage was waiting for us in the van and off we went to lunch and then the airport for our return to KL. The simple things that keep tourists happy on tours like this are good food and smiling, happy, knowledgeable guides. The food service was a big undertaking at Sukau with some fairly large tour groups coming through each day. The kitchen staff did an outstanding job keeping everyone fed and satisfied. All of the staff from dining room to housekeeping to guides and drivers were always happy, smiling and helpful. Highly recommended.

Pedro Foguet and family

Our guide Vincent Pedragosa was a superb host. He was affable and very knowledgeable about the fauna and flora we came across in Turtle Island, Sepilok Orangutan Centre and Sukau Forest Lodge by the Kinabatangan river. The rest of the staff we had contact with were also very courteous and efficient. We booked the tour with Borneo Eco Tours without doing much research and I feel that on this occasion we won the big prize!

Amazing borneo Safari

The organise trip include Kotakinabalu park, Sepiloc, Sukau rainforest lodge, Tabin, and Borneo rainforest lodge. We saw a lot of animal.
