Absolutely brilliant tour

Absolutely brilliant tour. All of the places we stayed were above expectations. We wanted an extra day from a different tour embedded into ours and it worked seamlessly. We visited turtle island (amazing) and Sukau river lodge. The amount of wildlife we saw was incredible , and we saw all the Borneo big five. We also added a visit to the Gomantong caves which was incredible. The staff were all very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Borneo Eco tours.

Amazing eith the best guide ever

Very good experience we had a super guide Abikarian He was always looking about us . He was very friendly and told us a lot about the nature and the animals . He was the best guide we ever had . The lodge was very good , the poeple very handsome

Traveling around Tabin Forest.

I was traveling around Borneo in October 2024 and one of my goals was to visit Tabin Forest. Borneo Eco Tours organized my whole trip, being hosted in Utan Rainforest Lodge. It was expensive but we're talking about very high quality in every aspect. I had a private guide and I had the opportunity to take photos of animals very rare to spot, like ground cuckoo or several especies of wild cats. Highly recommended.

Incredible experience that works for any time frame

My partner and I booked a tour through eco tours as part of our travels in south east Asia. We really wanted to see the famous orangutans but only had a short time in Borneo so the half day tour option was perfect for us. We got to see orangutans in their natural environment, simply by observing them. No interference whatsoever which was nice to see. You get a genuine sense of care from the staff that work there for the animals and you can tell it is the opposite of a zoo, they have a hands off approach to really encourage the orangutans to be able to survive back on their own after being rehabilitated. After seeing the orangutans, we had a walk through the forest with the incredible Arnold. I cannot speak highly enough for him, he truly was the best tour guide. He was so informative without information overloading us, if there was a question we had that he didn’t quite know, he would take the time to find out the answer for us. We weren’t able to find any snakes in the forest but he promised if he found any, he would send us a photo. He kept his promise and a little while after our tour he send photos of some wonderful looking snakes. The fact he remembered to do this meant a lot to us and shows how personal this tour company makes their tours. If we go back, I would absolutely do the longer tour with this company. 10/10 recommend

Focused Birding

Adrian and Julius picked us up at our hotel right on time, gave us a packet of information on the birds we targeted and off we went to Mt Kinabalu. We birded solidly for three days and were extremely impressed with Adrian’s ability to find birds we had never seen and not give up trying to find the elusive ones. Accommodations were lovely and we would highly recommend Borneo Eco Tours.

Memorable family trip with Borneo Eco Tours, saw the Big 5!

Amazing four day tour with Borneo eco tours! So well organized, the guides were so informative and answered all our wildlife questions! The Sukau lodge accommodation was wonderful, including the information talks, the food and the facilities! We saw the Borneo big 5 thanks to our wonderful guides!!! Orangutans in the wild spotted by our eagle eyed guide was magical, Pygmy elephants crossing in front of our boat on the river - absolutely once in a life time experience!

Great tour with staff that went out of their way to help

My flight from Kota Kinabalu was delayed by 3 hours and the office staff and guides went out of their way to help me make the most of the reduced time by rebuffing the itinerary. The guides were also very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great time and I would recommend Borneo Eco Tours wholeheartedly. One of the highlights of my time in Malaysia.

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful resort! Very nice staff, great food, bunch of wildlife and all sustainable. Love this place!

Very knowledgeable guide

Our European travel agent booked part of our stay in Borneo through Borneo Eco Tours and we had an amazing experience with Ashley as our very knowledgeable guide. We did see all the Borneo big 5 (Pygmy Elephant, the Proboscis Monkey, Orangutan (at the rehabilitation centre), the Rhinoceros Hornbill and also the Estuarine Crocodile). Our driver Idwin drove very safely avoiding potholes where possible. The hotels we stayed in (Sepilok Nature Lodge for 1 night and Sukau Rainforest Lodge for 2 nights) offered a tasty but limited selection of food. The rooms we stayed in were clean and spacious but could to with refurbishing.

An excellent tour service

The tour by BorneoEcoTours was really well organised from collection to being dropped back to our hotel in Sandakan. The guides employed by BET were alll enthusiastic and knowledgable and our experience in terms of hospitality, accommodation, animal tours and animals seen was very good.
