Arrive in Sandakan and transfer to the jetty for a 1 hour 45 minutes boat ride to Lankayan Island. Check into your chalet and proceed for the orientation dive. Free at leisure for non-divers.

Additional Notes

  1. Lankayan Note
    - For safety reasons, pregnant women, infants 24 months and below, and those who are 80 years and above are not permitted to join this tour.
    - No dive allowed within 24 hours prior to departure flight time.
    - Snorkel by boat available at RM53.00 per person inclusive of GST (Order and pay on-site, minimum order at least 2 persons).
    - Diver guests are encouraged to bring along their own equipment otherwise opt for rental from LANKAYAN Dive Centre.
  2. Schedule Boat Transfer
    - Sandakan PSR Jetty to Lankayan Island - 10:00 am
    - Lankayan Island to Sandakan PSR Jetty - 07:00 am
  3. Recommended Flight
    - Arrival: Please book flight that arrives at Sandakan at 0900hrs
    - Departure: Please book flight that departs from Sandakan after 1100hrs
  4. Extension night
    Extension night available at surcharge
    (November - February): Please be advised that our trip to Lankayan Island involves boat journey via the Sulu Sea. In the event of adverse weather condition during or before the boat journey, the company has the absolute discretion to cancel or postpone the trip if it is deemed that the journey will jeopardise the safety of our passengers. In the event of cancellation, a replacement tour will be offered. The company will not be liable for any compensation.
  5. Note: In accordance to the Malaysian Tourism Tax Act 2017, with effect from 1st Sep 2017, all foreign tourists/Non Malaysians will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per room per night in any registered tourist accommodation premises and this is collected directly by the hotels/resorts/lodges upon check in. The Tourism Tax (TTx) is mandatory under Malaysian Law. Tourism Tax is not included in all tour packages.
  6. Travel Insurance
    Customers are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance before travelling to Borneo. We recommend you to select a travel insurance policy that covers not only your medical expenses (including emergency repatriation) but also personal liability, personal property, medical evacuation, cancellation, curtailment, loss of luggage, and weather disruption/cancellations (including activity cancellations). Doing so can prevent major disruptions and additional costs.If you intend to go scuba diving, make sure they have an insurance policy that cover this activity. Guests intending on participating in diving activities must ensure their insurance covers them for SCUBA-related activities and has appropriate 'depth ' coverage.
