Dive Sipadan-Mabul - Day 1

Day 1

Tawau - Semporna - Mabul Island

Arrive at Tawau and travel 2 hours overland to Semporna. Then, journey another 1 hour on a boat ride to Mabul Island. Upon arrival, get ready for the orientation by your dive master and later, enjoy a couple of shore dives.

Day 2

Mabul Island

Another day another diving site to discover! Enjoy some fun under the tropical sun with three boat dives per day and unlimited shore dives at the crystal-clear water of Mabul.

  • Visiting Mabul Island
     Note: Guests who stay from 5 nights onward at standalone chalets or at water bungalows (Diving Package) will have 1-day diving guarantee at Sipadan Island (excluding entry permit fee RM 140.00 per person per day to be paid at the resort). Sabah Parks has increased the Sipadan Island Entry Permit to RM 140.00 per person per day effective on 14th August 2018. This will be applied to all guests who have booked/confirmed their stay under Sipadan Package.

    - Semporna Private Jetty to MABUL Resort – 10:00 am; 12:30 pm and 16:30 pm
    - MABUL Resort to Semporna Private Jetty – 07:00 am; 11:00 am and 14:00 pm  
  • Standard check-in & check-out time
    - Standard check-in time is after 1400HRS
    - Standard check-out time is before 1200HRS
    - Early check-in and late check-out are subject to room availability

  • Additional inclusions for certified Diver only
    -  3 boat combinations dive per day with the divemaster either on Mabul, Kapalai or nearby island (except on arrival and departure day) – Non-Divers may follow the dive boat out to snorkel. 
    - Unlimited jetty diving from Mabul’s House Reef. Unlimited jetty diving includes night diving (without a divemaster and boat).  Tanks, weights and weight belts are provided; all  other equipment must be brought by the diver or rented.  These dives must be arranged in advance.

  • Double or Twin Bed
     Double or twin bed cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability upon check in.

  • NOTICE: ENTRY TO DIVE OR VISIT TO SIPADAN ISLAND WILL BE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE SABAH PARK MANAGEMENT THUS, DIVING AT SIPADAN WATER IS NOT GUARANTEED. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DIVERS OR VISITORS IS RESTRICTED TO 120 PERSONS PER DAY. (ONLY CERTIFIED DIVERS WITH A MINIMUM OF 20 DIVES RECORDED WILL BE CONSIDERED TO DIVE IN SIPADAN WATER. PLEASE BRING ALONG YOUR DIVE LOGBOOK)

  • Note: In accordance to the Malaysian Tourism Tax Act 2017, with effect from 1st Sep 2017, all foreign tourists/Non Malaysians will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per room per night in any registered tourist accommodation premises and this is collected directly by the hotels/resorts/lodges upon check in. The Tourism Tax (TTx) is mandatory under Malaysian Law. Tourism Tax is not included in all tour packages.
