We joined Borneo Eco Tours for a 3 night trip to Sandakan and Sakau. This was a wonderful trip and our guide, Rahman, took such good care of us. During this 4 days he became our friend. A wonderful company with staff like no other.
Did a 15 day tour of Sarawak and Sabah and in every detail Eco tours were tantastic. Great drivers and guides for whom nothing was too much trouble. From the minute our guide Fernando picked us up from our hotel in Sandakan to the minute we were dropped off at the airport,3 days later, everything we had hoped for was delivered by this company. Fernando was brilliant, his customer service second to none. He ensured we were safely transported to Sepilok and walked around with our group, followed by a power boat ride out to Turtle Island and stayed with us the whole time ensuring we had a wonderful experience seeing the turtle lays her eggs,
From the minute that we were met at the airport in Sandakan to the minute we were dropped back 3 days later everything was fantastic.
Our itinerary included transitions between different guides for different areas such as collection from the airport, Sepilok and Sun bear guided walks, the Sukau lodge boat cruises and the Rainforest discovery center and war memorial, but everything was completely fluid and was arranged perfectly.

We asked Borneo Eco Tours to arrange our whole trip to Borneo and were very impressed with them from our first contact by email right up until they dropped us off at airport in KK.
They were very accommodating and arranged exactly what we wanted. Emails were responded to very quickly and although I was initially a little apprehensive about handing over a large amount of money to them in advance I needn't have worried. Pick ups were punctual and staff friendly and well trained.
Currently still in Borneo yet felt the need to write a review. We booked 6 months ago for 2 nights at Sukau Rainforest Lodge and 3 nights at Borneo Rainforest Lodge in Danum Valley. I liaised with Jeremy from Borneo Eco Tours throughout the 6 months, altering the itinerary several times and I felt expertly advised at all times. EVERYTHING I requested was done, no issues. All the bookings were as promised, all transfers handled well and the guides and hodge staff were exemplary.

We traveled as a couple on the 4D3N trip to Selingan (turtle) island, the orang utan and sun bear conservation centres and 2 nights in the eco lodge in the rainforest. Our tour guide, Joy, was fantastic, she was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the trip and great company too! The night on turtle island was incredible, seeing the nesting, burying and releasing of the turtles all in one night, it was an incredible and very special experience. Our trip with Borneo Eco tours was amazing. The service level was high, very good guides, friendly and professional drivers etc. We saw many animals and very much enjoyed staying at Sukau Rainforrest Lodge. Only bad experience was they day in Sandakan where we were meant to see the WW2 POW Memorial and rainforrest center. We were rushed through this and our guide seemed uninterested and not so motivated. But aside from this one bad day everything else was perfect!
