We did a package to Turtle Islands (Selingan Island) and Sukau Rainforest Lodge. It was a 4 day, 3 night expedition, and it was wonderful. Our guide Mason was delightful - bubbly, informative, and knowledgable. The accomdations at Selingan were comfortable and pleasant, the beach fantastic. But seeing the mother turtles laying their eggs, and the baby turtles headed to the sea was beyond exciting. The Sukau Rainforest Lodge was excellent, and the wildlife spotting river cruises amazing. Definitely add the night cruise to any booking (done at the lodge for an extra and very reasonable fee), to see even more. The trips to the orangutan and sun bear rescue sites were very good; seeing many wild and free orangutans was wonderful. Loved seeing the little crocodiles as well as many gorgeous birds. So glad we did this.

The rainforest lodges (Sukau & Danum Valley) were teeming with wildlife and wonderful hospitality from all the staff. The guides are super knowledgeable and thoughtful and accommodating. We're already talking to friends about going back with a group!

Excellent organisation from Audrey who worked with us on date for our holiday as many of the dates we wanted were booked. Finally found dates that worked.
The accommodation on the Kinabatangan River was beaitiful, with lovely views and we saw orangutans around the accommodation in the trees as well as macaques and smaller wildlife. Guides were knowledgeable and warm and friendly.
Our accommodation at Danum Valley was gorgeous on elevated rainforest and the walks with our guide were thoroughly enjoyable. They had a wide choice of food including gluten free options. Staff were warm and friendly.

Such a great trip. Extremely well organised and stunning scenery. Staff were lovely and the stay at Sakau lodge was 5 star! So beautiful. The guided trips were excellent and we saw elephants and lots of different monkeys, squirrels etc. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge, which is located on the banks of the Kinabatangan River, in Sabah Malaysia. We were on a 2N3D tour which included river safaris twice a day.
We had an amazing experience. The tour was well arranged and the lodge we stayed in was of good quality. The staff were attentive to every detail and were exceptionally helpful. The guide (Mr. Farhan) was a knowledgeable gentleman and was successful in showing us Borneo's 'Big 5'.
The Lodge was well managed under the leadership of its resident manager - Mr. Joseph Jiwa. We thank him for his hospitality and would also like to thank the following staff:

The team at Borneo Eco Tours were great! Asley, who was our guide, stayed with us throughout our adventure – starting off in Sellingan Island and extending to Sukau. He was knowledgeable and immensely helpful.

We are still in awe of how good our experience was. Would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough about this trip. The Sukau River Lodge was beautiful. The river tours were thrilling. So many different types monkeys, hornbills, we even saw a spotted leopard. The orangutans were climbing through the trees above our room.

The Borneo Rainforest Lodge was also incredible. The canopy is amazing! We watched an orangutan build his nest, settle in and put himself to bed. The coffin hike, a bit strenuous, was so fun as well as the lore that went with it. There is rock pool, called the Jacuzzi, where the fish nibble your feet. Night walking and Jeep safaris. The guides were all very knowledgeable and so nice.

This was a truly memorable trip. Borneo eco tours is a great operation. They were flexible and easy to work with, and spoke great English. Our flight was delayed and we had to change our start time and meeting place, and they were there for us seamlessly.

From the hotel pick up to the final farewell, our experience was overwhelming positive. Communication from the time of booking was excellent. The Sukau Rainforest Lodge was so beautiful and the villas were gorgeous. All the staff were incredibly friendly and delightful. We saw amazing wildlife, and the guide was so knowledgeable and clever at spotting the various birds, monkeys, even a crocodile on the night boat trip. We had an orang utan in the tree just above our villa one morning - it was really an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend the Kinabatagan river safari.
