Fantastic Borneo experience

We were really happy with all the services provided and arrangements made by Borneo Eco Tours. The email communication pre travel was efficient and very professional. Allyssa offered great assistance in booking both accommodation and transportation for us. We thoroughly enjoyed every single trip we had and all the guides were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
We spotted so much wildlife in and around the rainforest lodge. Food at the lodge was also very tasty and there was always a good range of options.
We would definitely be recommending Borneo Eco Tours to our friends in the future.

Wild Orangutans and more

We had an amazing trip in Borneo with Borneo eco tours in July 2023. We were a family with a 16 and 14 year old teenagers. We were all captivated by the wildlife Borneo has to offer.

We were met at Sandakan airport on a very early flight. We met our guide Vincent P. who was very friendly and knowledgeable throughout our stay at the lodge.

We were taken to the Sepilok orangutan sanctuary and the Sun Bear rescue Centre next door. They were basically very nice zoo for orangutans and Sun Bears. Its not particualry what we traveled half way across the world for but it was good to see them never the less

Then the Amazing began

We had 3 nights at the Sakau Rainforest lodge which I believe is owned by the company also.

We had the boat transfer from Sandikan which is by far the best way to travel rather than just seeing miles and miles of palm oil trees on a bus for 2 hours. Instead you can really see the beauty of the river and the view is mainly natural habitat rather than palm oil trees.

We had a wonderful welcome given by Li, I hope I spelt it right because we later had a really insightful chat about life for his River People of Borneo.

We had 2 twin rooms which were their basic rooms. They were extremely comfortable and given where I was I would not call them basic at all. They were clean and well appointed with all you need. (eg No TV)

The bonus was it was close enough to the bar area to be in WiFi range! I am sure the lodges are much more luxurious

The resort was great example of eco tourism in my opinion. The property is non intrusive to its surroundings. We had an idea that we may not see any orangutans in the wild before our trip but we ended up seeing them once a day just in the long board walk at the lodge. That was what we came for.

We had 2- 3 boat tours a day. basically these are safari in a bout. We managed to see all the big 5s of Borneo and more during our 3 night stay. It could get a bit crowded with boats from other lodges when something amazing is spotted but thats how it is. there are many more people on this earth than the beautiful thi

Great experience, highly recommend

We did the 2N3D Kinabatangan Wildlife tour. All of the staff were helpful and attentive from start to finish of the experience. We saw such wonderful animals and wildlife, it was the experience of a lifetime. We went on two river cruises a day and also paid the extra for the night cruise which was a great experience. Our guide Johnathan was great at spotting the wildlife and had a wealth of knowledge. The accommodation was brilliant, spotless, comfortable and you had everything you needed. The food was tasty and there was always lots of choice. We really recommend this experience to all.

Excellent organisation

Very responsive and responsible in organizing our trip to Danum Valley. Danum valley is worth the entire trip to Borneo.

Perfect Tour to see amazing animals

Amazing Tour Guides, very friendly staff and our tour was perfect planned. We saw elefants, crocodiles and Orang-Utan. And also a lot of monkeys.
I would definitely recommend this tour.
The whole lodge is also eco-friendly and you can use own bottles and refill.

A wonderful experience

We did a package to Turtle Islands (Selingan Island) and Sukau Rainforest Lodge. It was a 4 day, 3 night expedition, and it was wonderful. Our guide Mason was delightful - bubbly, informative, and knowledgable. The accomdations at Selingan were comfortable and pleasant, the beach fantastic. But seeing the mother turtles laying their eggs, and the baby turtles headed to the sea was beyond exciting. The Sukau Rainforest Lodge was excellent, and the wildlife spotting river cruises amazing. Definitely add the night cruise to any booking (done at the lodge for an extra and very reasonable fee), to see even more. The trips to the orangutan and sun bear rescue sites were very good; seeing many wild and free orangutans was wonderful. Loved seeing the little crocodiles as well as many gorgeous birds. So glad we did this.

Absolutely Amazing

We loved every minute of our BET 6D5N experience! From the booking process through to our departure we had a seamless, fabulous experience. The rainforest lodges (Sukau & Danum Valley) were teeming with wildlife and wonderful hospitality from all the staff. The guides are super knowledgeable and thoughtful and accommodating. We're already talking to friends about going back with a group!
