Three of us took the SABAH WILDLIFE SAFARI 8D/7N with Borneo Eco Tours in September, 2023. The safari was very well organized. From the initial steps (Thank you Oviera Cyril) to the very end everything worked well. Everything was on time, accommodation and food was high quality. Our goal was to see orangutans and proboscis monkeys in the wild. This was easily achieved. We saw Proboscis monkeys on a daily basis in Sukau and Orangutans in Borneo Wildlife lodge. But we saw much more. All kind of exotic wild life and birds. Yes, we got bitten by leeches but it was certainly worth it. On the positive side there were hardly any mosquitos. Importantly, we always felt save and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Borneo Eco Tours. They know what the are doing.

Did a wildlife tour and river cruises for 4D3N. Loved our river cruises and our stay at the amazing Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Truly beautiful nature to marvel everywhere you look at. This was truly once in a lifetime type of trip for nature lovers! Highly recommended tour company, everything ran smoothly and professionally. Worth every penny!

simply great all round. They picked us up at sepilok and the tour of the sanctuary was included. the tour guides were all lovely. Organisation and timing really good. we went to Sukau with the boat ride and all trips and food. Simply wonderful. Highly recommended all round.

We are a family of 6 (4 kids aged 16-22) and did the 4 day tour from Sandakan to Turtle Island, Orangutan plus Sun Bear rehabilitation centres and Sikau Rainforest lodge. Quite simply the trip was fantastic. Our wonderful guide Lau coordinated everything and was a mine of information about all the wildlife and the whole region. The quality of our accomodation was way beyond our expectations and the food was terrific. We saw turtles hatching, baby turtles released into the sea, elephants, proboscis monkeys, hornbills, snakes, crocodile, gibbon and more. The Sikau lodge sits right on the beautiful Kinabatangan river and we were given 3 trips a day out in the smaller boats looking for wildlife. So good. Most of all the staff were so pleasant and helpful and I would urge anyone who is thinking of going to just do it, helping support the eco-tourism industry there is just one important way of saving their remarkable location from further deforestation. Brilliant, brilliant trip.

Amazing! We did the 2night and 3day tour which started in sepilok with the orangutans and the sun bears. We continued to sukau rainforest resort where we had a night tour of the river on arrival, followed by a truly stunning early morning tour the following morning, a boardwalk tour, after lunch, and afternoon boat tour later. Oh my goodness….. I love my wildlife and being able to see them all in their natural habitat has given us memories we will never forget! Just fabulous - and can’t recommend it enough.

The tour arrangement: you are put into groups of around 8-10 and you are allocated to a tour guide who will always be on hand to answer any questions, and will take you on each of your boat tours. They will literally accompany you from the very start of your tour to the very end where you are dropped off for the next leg of your adventure or, leaving for the airport. Our guide was Farhan and he was so knowledgable, spoke brilliant English, was relaxed and friendly and generally made our experience even better - (thank you Farhan!). We thought it was a great way to facilitate what for most of us will be all very new experiences and places by giving you one person who is on hand to check in with for any queries, or needs you have, All the staff we encountered were great and a credit to the organisation.

Farhan was determined to find as many species for us to tick off our list as possible and did so whilst telling us all lots of information about the wildlife and the rainforest. You never felt rushed, we’re always given plenty of opportunities to take pictures and ask any questions you have. He wanted us to enjoy our experience and you could really tell.

We saw ALSORTS of wonderful creatures probably too many to list and the reason you go out morning, noon and night tours is to see different things at different times, based in their natural cycles and habits. Highlights for us included Proboscis monkeys, oodles of cheeky macaques (long and short tailed), lots of varieties of hornbills, and for me particularly the blue eared kingfishers sleeping on a branch during the night tour

We did a package to Turtle Islands (Selingan Island) and Sukau Rainforest Lodge. It was a 4 day, 3 night expedition, and it was wonderful. Our guide Astley was very knowledgeable and informative. The Sukau Rainforest Lodge is an amazing place with an abundance of wildlife within the grounds of the resort as well as up and down the river. The service at the resort was great. Rooms were very comfortable. We particularly liked the rainforest discovery centre where we could have stayed a little longer. The only slightly disappointing thing was the swimming area at turtle Islands was very shallow and poor for snorkelling.

Sukau rainforest lodge is an amazing place to stay, We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights 4 days.
The lodge is very comfortable it is very unique and we liked that it was dedicated to being eco friendly.
The food is very nice and you are fed very often which is a plus, there is also a nice variety of food.
There are many river tours giving you a good chance to spot the different wildlife.
Everything at the lodge is great, but the best thing about this place is the staff. Every single staff member was so accommodating and friendly and offered an outstanding service, they went above and beyond for you.

We would like to mention our amazing tour guide Hassan K, he made our trip here very memorable. From the moment we met him at sepilock he was so welcoming. Throughout our tour we could see how passionate he was about his job, which was demonstrated through his knowledge of all the wildlife and Borneo. He was so informative and put a lot of effort into all the activities he was involved in and always had a big smile on his face.
Thank you Hassan for being an incredible tour guide.

- Lee, for his outstanding orangutan talk, it was amazing to hear more about the wildlife we were seeing and Lee is full of knowledge.

Excellent tour. Very professional outfit. We took the day trip to Mt Kinabalu Park and then the 4D3N tour to the Sukau Rainforest lodge. From the lodge, we took regular trips up and downstream of the river in search of wildlife, and there was plenty. The lodge was beautiful and very comfortable. Always plenty of food served at meals. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Sukau Rainforest lodge was amazing. Our room was beautiful and was set in among the rainforest. The resort was stunning.

Jay was our guide. He was a funny, knowledgeable and intelligent guide who stopped at nothing to ensure we had the best chance to see the big five wildlife.. he explained traditional culture and hunting techniques and the natural forrest medicines. He is a genuine all round great guy!

In between activities that Jay had organised which included river toys and a guided walk, we were well fed and enjoyed some time relaxing with drinks around the pool.

We would highly recommended Sukau rainforest resort and Borneo Eco tours.
