We booked the tour with Borneo Eco Tours custom planned 'Borneo Big 5' post searching thru this site and instagram - for the best tour that can fit us (family of young boys) going into nature for the 1st time - and there we are - in Sandakan starting the day at Sepilok Conservation - seeing orang utans and sun bear roaming, playing around and met our guide/captain Mr Asley (knowledgeable and friendly - also with eyes like a hawk - coz he can spot animals from far away even the tiniest baby crocodile or sleeping bird on top of a tall tree)
Then we got onto 2.5hour boat ride from Sandakan Jetty into the Kinabatangan river towards Sukau Rainforest Lodge (a gem by the river)
4 days ended so soon we think as every morning my eldest cant wait to wake up for what animals in the wild are waiting for us to see for the day! - but my youngest wait to get in the boat to sleep

Audrey from Borneo Eco tours helped me plan my entire journey from the word Go. She laid out the entire itinerary and made sure pick up and drops were suitably arranged. I’m very grateful to her for putting in all her efforts and helping with last minute rescheduling when we missed our flight and also when we made changes to drive to Lahad Dattu instead of take a plane

Jay was a super guide who has perfected the balance between friendly and professional. He is fountain of knowledge when it comes to local wildlife and culture. Jay made our small group feel special and went above and beyond to help us spot the ‘big five’ and most importantly Jay’s expertise and patience allowed us to see one pygmy elephant. We had such a great time and Jay was not shy to join in with our group jokes and chatting. 5 *****!

We joined 3 days birding tour in Kinabalu park. I truly satisfied with the tour. The guide team was very actively seek our target birds, and finally, we could see them. it was a very dramatic finale. The support by tour consult was also good.

We had an amazing time with Borneo Eco Tours. They were extremely organised, knowledgeable and fun!! Our time at Turtle Island was incredible and Vincent was a wonderful guide. We then headed out to the most amazing lodge (Sukau Rainforest Lodge - WOW!) with our brilliant new guide, J. He was amazing with our boys, and made sure they understood all he was saying, He taught us so much about the surrounding plant and wild life. As I said, the Sukau Rainforest Lodge is a haven. All the staff there are friendly and helpful and it is so well run. A special shout out to Chef Teddy - the food was delicious. Thank you Borneo Eco Tours.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying for 4 days and 3 nights in Sukau Rainforest Lodge. The lodge staffs and Borneo Eco Tours tour guides and boat captains are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Experiencing wildlife in their natural habitats with comfortable accommodation at the lodge for us. Food was fresh, variety in selection for all meals. Service and attentiveness were 5 star with guests needs being catered for. This trip was our third, and we would certainly return again.

Experiencing wildlife in their natural habitats with comfortable accommodation at the lodge for us. Food was fresh, variety in selection for all meals. Service and attentiveness were 5 star with guests needs being catered for. This trip was our third, and we would certainly return again.

Our 6D5N program in the Borneo jungle spread over Sukau river lodge and the Borneo Rainforest lodge in Danum valley was truly amazing ! Great views, excellent food, luxurious accommodations, ...
Everything was well organised, punctual and with very responsive and flexible staff. Our program had to be adapted multiple times due to covid and many last minute flight changes and all was handled superbly by Borneo Ecotours and Cindy in particular. I can highly recommend them !
