Excellent organisation from trip preparation and personal advice to local support and transportation. Borneo is a fantastic place on earth, great for wildlife experience, snorkelling and diving!

The only improvement area I can think about was the speed boat trip to Lankayan Island which was extremely fast and bumpy. We were constantly going at 50 knots (90 km/h) during 1,5 hours. It should be possible to limit the speed a bit which would make the trip a bit more comfortable.

I Went for a couple vacation on Borneo and everything was great, they have all planned so you really don’t have to worry about anything. The drivers and guides were excellent.

3 nights at Sukau Rainforest Lodge (Kinabatangan River) and 2 nights at Borneo Rainforest Lodge (Danum Valley) were nothing short of amazing. We booked online and process incl. payment was easy, and on the ground transportation and organization perfect. Our wildlife guides were approachable, knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond to make this memorable. We loved the river day and night cruises / safaris on Kinabatangan River, and we're lucky to see all of Borneo's Big 5. Both lodges were perfect, with great staff and food and nestled in the rainforest, so keep your eyes peeled as there is wildlife all around you. If interested, our itinerary was as follows:
Flight to Kota Kinabalu, from there early morning flight to Sandakan where the tour starts immediately. Overland Transport after 3 days from Sakau lodge to Danum Valley Borneo lodge and after that, flight from Lahad Datu back to KK. From there, we had our own vacation planned and went to Brunei as well as George Town in Penang. Borneo Eco Tours Tool great care of us, emphasize on sustainability and makes for an experience of a lifetime. Orangutans in the wild and the diversity of fauna in Borneo is unmatched.

Starting at Kota Kinabalu (a city well worth to discover), through Mount Kinabalu-Kundasang-Ranau, visiting the orangutans+proboscis+sun bear sanctuaries, staying at the welcoming Sukau Rainforest Lodge (shout out to our guide Jimmy!) and finally the true divers’ paradise that Kapalai diving resort and Sipadan are! Thank you for everything! We will miss Sabah!

Booked and paid deposit in 2019 which Borneo Eco Tours held open until after Covid. Reliable email communications from Cindy throughout the original planning and re-organised bookings, despite a number of incoming and outgoing flight time changes (I had booked our own flights) When our flight from Abu Dhabi was delayed we missed our connection to Sandakan but Cindy reacted again and re-organised our pick up. All pick ups, transfers and boat journeys were faultless. The guides, especially Han were excellent in spotting wildlife on the river.

From the initial steps (Thank you Oviera Cyril) to the very end everything worked well. Everything was on time, accommodation and food was high quality. Our goal was to see orangutans and proboscis monkeys in the wild. This was easily achieved. We saw Proboscis monkeys on a daily basis in Sukau and Orangutans in Borneo Wildlife lodge. But we saw much more. All kind of exotic wild life and birds. Yes, we got bitten by leeches but it was certainly worth it. On the positive side there were hardly any mosquitos. Importantly, we always felt save and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Borneo Eco Tours. They know what the are doing.

This was truly once in a lifetime type of trip for nature lovers! Highly recommended tour company, everything ran smoothly and professionally. Worth every penny!

simply great all round. They picked us up at sepilok and the tour of the sanctuary was included. the tour guides were all lovely. Organisation and timing really good. we went to Sukau with the boat ride and all trips and food. Simply wonderful. Highly recommended all round.
