Love love loved it

I had every confidence in our trip from the minute I first contacted Borneo Eco Tours - all emails were replied to with speed and efficiency.

We opted to stay in Sepilok the night before we started our 4D/3N Orangutan tour and when we checked in they had already had confirmation from B E T re our pick up time the next morning.

We started off with a visit to the Orangutan centre and were treated to both mums and babies - plus a little to close for comfort couple of teenage Orangutans who decided to come onto the boardwalk, but both the centre staff and our guide looked out for our safety. We then visited the Sun bears and again saw a couple of bears enjoying the sunshine.

On our trip up the river we were delighted to come across a whole heard of elephants - more than 25 of them!! And following that on our various trips up and down the river we saw so many species of animals including crocodiles, Proboscis Monkeys and Rhinoceros Horn bills......

And of course I must mention the gorgeous Lucky with her offspring Day and the new baby (who we are convinced is a girl)

An additional thanks to the team at Borneo Eco Tours - when we arrived at the lodge we were asked to pass valuables and passports over to the reception for safe keeping as there is no safes on site which we did......then unfortunately we forgot to collect them on check out!! so 2.5 hours later when we had reached Sandakan I remembered!! - our guide did not hesitate, a phone call back to the lodge and arrangements were made for our belongings to be brought to our hotel by that evening.

From start to finish a wonderful tour

The highlight of our trip to Malaysia

We had booked the 3 days / 2 nights in the Sukau Rainforest Lodge. We were picked up at Sandakan airport by our amazing tour guide Jumaidi. We visited the Sepilok Orang Utan Center and the Sun Bear Conservation Center, both were very interesting and the animals are not held in captivity there. Afterwards we took a boat ride to the lodge, on the way we already saw our first wild Orang Utan. The lodge is a really nice place in the middle of the rainforest. We had three boat safaris included in our package. In addition we did two night safaris which are led by some of the locals. We saw much wildlife including Orang Utans, Macaques, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, hornbills and all kinds of other birds. There are also many free on-site activities available including a rainforest board walk. All meals were provided, the food was fine. To summarize, the experience was really amazing, mostly because of our excellent tour guide Jumaidi. He was really kind, funny and well skilled in spotting wildlife and also in doing their sounds, some animals even replied him. He was also very respectful towards the animals and never disturbed them. Generally it was really impressive how the guides spotted the wildlife from distance and during the night. I can warmly recommend the Sukau Lodge for everybody who is interested in eco-friendly tourism. The prices are more than fair. I can also recommend to choose the transfer to the lodge by boat as it is a great experience and you can already see a lot of wildlife (as I wrote earlier we saw an Orang Utan during the transfer to the lodge which is very rare to see).

Amazing jungle experience!

Had an amazing 3D2N tour and stay with Borneo Eco Tours! They are experienced and always looking to accommodate what you want to get out of your experience in the jungle of Borneo. The wildlife sighting was spectacular. We had wildlife orangutans just on top of our cabin! The lodge is beautiful and comfortable. And the meals and tours make, everything combined just make it a unique experience!

4 days/3 nights: Amazing experience, BET execution: Tops

Organizing, contacting, pickup/drop off efficient, wonderful vibes from all employees. Fufilled my wish to see orang utan, proboscis, & more in their world. Comfortable yet eco friendly lodging. Food service for all meals and snacks, welcoming and tasty. Talks re eco tourism & orang utan info-packed yet well presented despite English not being the presenters' first language. Boardwalk tour, river cruises, Gomantong caves, rehab centres, Memorial park, Rainforest Discovery Centre, Mt Kinabalu Botanical Garden--lots to absorb with stops enroute when birds or critters of interest happen by. Kudos to Sheyron, Vincent, Rosi, Syafil, Fernando, Jamil, to drivers, presenters, reception and servers.
Importance of saving our earth for the future was underlined.

Viewing wildlife in Borneo

We had great experiences in viewing wildlife, seeing Orang Utans, Pygmy Elephants, Rhinoceros Hornbills and Proboscis Monkeys in the wild. We saw 3 of these on the initial boat transfers from Sandakan.
We stopped for 3 nights at the Sukau Lodge which was absolutely superb, with many excursions on the river finding wildlife.
Our guide was knowledgable and very personable.
We transferred to the Kawag Rainforest Lodge, where we spent 2 nights in the Rainforest with another expert guide dedicated to us, leading numerous excursions by foot.
The food at the lodge was exceptional
