A fantastic tour through the jungle. Wild ourangatangs, pigmy elephants, crocodiles and lots of different monkeys.
The your guide was excellent and accommodation was perfect.
We had the most amazing and relaxing time travelling by boat through the wilder areas.

Stunning and unique from start to finish. I could not be happier with our visit to Sukau Rainforest Lodge with Borneo Eco Tours. From start to finish — booking through the trip to drop-off — the staff were incredibly professional, attentive and kind. Our guide, Vincent, was so great. He was knowledgeable, approachable, patient and just a joy to be around. We saw the big 5 all within the first day! The river tours were magical and just an amazing way to experience the forest and spot wildlife. The lodge itself was so beautiful. Our accommodations were stunning and without a doubt the nicest place we stayed on our entire trip. The staff at the lodge were fantastic. The food was great and they were always so kind and helpful. Hands down one of the most memorable experiences. Don’t hesitate in booking with Borneo Eco Tours.

So I made an initial enquiry from the UK and Brendan was extremely helpful from the outset. Once we booked we got immediate confirmation and were picked up from our hotel in Sepilok as promised for the Kinabatangan river stay. The whole trip was seamless, guides were so knowledgeable - thank you Rahman - he gave us a trip to remember, we were fortunate to see all the big 5 and then more. Really kind staff in the lodge and a good selection of meals provided. Would certainly recommend.

Borneo Eco Tours provided us with a five star experience. Everything went perfectly & most importantly our guide, Jay, was fantastic.

He was the perfect mix of knowledge, passion & determination. He was as excited as us when we saw an elephant herd (20+), drinking at the river, he jumped with excitement when we saw our first rhinoceros hornbill and he was determined we see every major animal and bird. His knowledge of animals, birds and the region was great. He amazed us spotting animals while driving the boat.

Our first 2 night stop was Sukau Rainforest Lodge, a beautifully rustic river lodge. The river cruises were a perfect way to see wildlife and experience the rainforest. We were lucky to see the three orangutans whose territory include the forest around the lodge. The food was simple and tasty, the pool was functional and good for a break.

Our 2nd stop was Tabin Wildlife Reserve. It was remote, 90 minutes on rugged dirt road. The lodge is in a beautiful location. It’s functional from a room and food perspective but it’s wildlife safari offering was fantastic. Local gibbons and otters were a highlight. Our guide Alister was delightful and knowledgeable.

We had an absolutely amazing adventure with Borneo Eco Tours. We went on a 5D/4N tour visiting the Sepilok orangutan rescue center, Kinabatangan river (stayed at Sukau Rainforest Lodge) and the Tabin Wildlife Reserve. Booking the tour was very easy and Brandon was very helpful during the booking process. The tour was very well organized, we were picked up on time from our hotel, all transfers during the tour were organized for us and the staff was very friendly. During our stay at the Kinabatangan river, we did multiple river cruises (morning, afternoon and night) and saw many different animals, such as proboscis monkeys, silver and red leaf-monkeys, 4 different species of hornbill, kingfishers and crocodiles. At Tabin Wildlife Reserve, we stayed in the beautiful resort in the middle of the jungle and there were macaques and gibbons jumping through the trees above our lodge. Truly magical! Here, during several walks through the jungle and on afternoon and night drives, we saw two orangutans in the wild, different civets, owls and flying foxes. The guides at both locations were absolutely wonderful, they pointed out many different animals and birds to us, and taught us a lot about these parts of the rainforest. Borneo Eco Tours, you have been amazing. From start to finish. I booked with Selestica who helped us plan our experience. She was patient and professional and made the process easy. We opted for 1 night Turtle Island and 2 nights Sukau Lodge. I have to say, it’s the guides that make these trips so special and we were lucky to have Jimmy who took us to the island and Jay/Joe Biden for the rainforest. The turtle island is a unique experience which we were impressed with the dedication of these guys in which turtles come first, humans are merely spectators, and rightly so. Amazing experience. Next we met Jay who is, by far the nicest most knowledgeable man we have met and he made the whole adventure so much more special. His energy and enthusiasm for all wildlife was contagious and he taught us so much. We come away from this experience feeling blessed to have met him and privileged to have shared his knowledge. We do have to mention Lee who gave the talk on orangutans. Lee I could have listened to you all day, the best, most entertaining talk ever. Everything was so well organised and Sukau lodges were fantastic…we even stayed in the lodge Judy Dench stayed in haha. We feel blessed to have done this trip, we saw loads, no rhino hornbill though, we met some lovely lovely people in our small group and our guides were awesome. Highly recommended Tour company. The guides (Mason and Jonathan) were very knowledgeable and engaging. All aspects of the tour and connections were well organised and managed. We stayed at Sukau Rainforest Lodge and Lankayan island, and visited Sepilok, Sun bears and RDC at Sandakon.
