What a fabulous experience. From the ease and helpfulness of booking to the actual visit everything was first class.
Jay was an incredible guide at Selingan Island and Sakau Rainforest Lodge. We saw the Borneo 5 and the turtles which was my dream. Selingan Island accommodation was basic but clean, accommodation at Sakau was gorgeous. We are both vegetarians and the food was lovely. Holiday of a lifetime

Last week we went on the 4 day 3 night boat tour with Borneo Eco tours & I could not recommend this experience more. The organization was exceptional and we felt looked after at all times. Our flight got in earlier than needed but Vincent & Jad were both at the airport to collect us regardless. They dropped us into town where we were free at leisure to explore Sandakkan before taking the boat to Selingan Island for an overnight stay to see the turtles. The scenery was breath taking & we thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the tour. The detailed knowledge and explanations that Vincent shared with us show he is a true expert in the field. We left the next day to visit the organgutan & sun bear centre which were both fabulous and then made our way by boat to the Sukau rainforest lodge where you absolutely must visit. We saw all of the big 5 and were greeted and looked after by the friendliest most charming team.

Our experience was wonderful. Our guide J went out of his way to show us the wildlife of the Kinabatangan River and found quite placed to observe and take in the peaceful surroundings. Boreno Eco Tours excellent. Many thanks to Audrey.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our 6 day/ 5 night Sandakan birding tour. Ahead of the trip, Oviera was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly. Once in Borneo, we found the accommodations provided to be excellent and exactly the type of place you want to stay in for a trip like this (small, eco-friendly and beautifully landscaped). As for the birding. We could not have asked for more. Our guide, Hazwan, was a true expert. He knew all the birds by sight and call. We also found him to be patient, professional and fun to be around. He made sure to seek out birds we mentioned (even if it was in passing) and found some of the ones we wanted to see most. We ended up seeing over 120 species including the elusive Bornean Ground Cuckoo and the endangered Storm’s Stork. Our boat captain while at the Sukau Rainforest lodge, Saiful, was a perfect river navigator. He ferried us everywhere with skill, speed and safety. He clearly knows the river very well. We hope to book another birding tour in the next couple years since this one was such a huge success!

We were collected from our hotel in Sepilok exactly as planned, took the tour of both the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Sun Bear Conservation Centre before travelling by river to the Lodge. We had 3 river trips at dusk and dawn and also opted to do an additional night cruise. We were lucky enough to see 4 of the Borneo big 5. I also went to a talk on orangutans which was really interesting.
The lodge itself was very well equipped and quite luxurious. Food was good and plentiful. All the staff were really helpful, friendly and polite.
I can highly recommend everything about this tour.

We booked the 2D1N Iban Longhouse Safari, and it was honestly one of the best experiences from our vacation i Borneo.
We where greeted by our extremely friendly guide, Robert, and had a lovely introduction to what we could expect from the tour.

It was a cultural extravaganza, where we were greeted by the most lovely family in the longhouse. Before that we sailed 45 min in a longboat in the most amazing scenary.
We tried the locally brewed rice wine, did the traditional dancing and tried the traditional blowpipes.

But the very best part was the people of the longhouses

The team at Borneo Eco Tours were fantastic from day 1. All emails and questions before booking were answered quickly and effectively offering more than enough help when required! The transportation and organisation was perfect and easy! The rainforest lodge was lovely and instantly felt like you were with nature! The staff were all so welcoming and happy! It was really great to see the sustainability efforts and understanding of the need to savour and limit the impacts! Boat tours and tour guide was great and did everything possible to ensure we got the most out of our trips with animals whilst being patient! Tours were only 5-7 people max which was to best number!
