We arranged for a one-day birding tour to KK Park, and we have had the most amazing experience! Master Tour Guide, Adrian, who has more than 20 years of guiding birding tours, did not disappoint. He was very passionate, patient, pleasant, accommodating, and friendly. He was also very generous with his knowledge and shared many of his personal stories with us. We felt very welcomed and very glad we were assigned to him! All in all, our experience with Borneo Eco Tours has been first class - right from the enquiry stage (Oviera) to the end of the tour.

The fee was reasonable and worthy of every cent. Sabah is truly the Land of the Sacred Mountain and friendly people. Love love love it!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience.
We saw an abundance of wildlife including wild orangutans (one even swung past our villa window!), and rare wildlife such as red leaf monkeys, six species of hornbill, a golden silver-leaf monkey, flying lemur and more.
The accommodation was comfortable, staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding - remarkable, given how remote the lodge seems to be.
Get here now before crowds come back!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience.
We saw an abundance of wildlife including wild orangutans (one even swung past our villa window!), and rare wildlife such as red leaf monkeys, six species of hornbill, a golden silver-leaf monkey, flying lemur and more.

We had a wonderful three night tour and stay at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge - what an experience! Borneo Eco Tours did a fantastic job organising our transfers and accommodation and we enjoyed every element of our tour. The accommodation was wonderful and the chef at the lodge did a fantastic job in making sure that there were plenty of vegan options for us every day. We did have concerns that the message about our vegan requirements would not get through, but we were not disappointed - in fact, every evening the chef would bring out at least one extra dish for us that was vegan. Thank you!

On the wildlife tours we saw crocodiles, many rare birds, proboscis and macaque monkeys and orangutans. In fact, we were lucky enough to see orangutans feeding daily on a fig tree on the lodge site. Let's hope that the Government continues to take measures to ensure the protection and enlargement of these wildlife areas as to lose the wildlife would be a great loss for the local people, environment and tourists alike.

We had a great day out to Bako National Park organised by Borneo Eco Tours. Cindy, who helped organise the trip, was very helpful and quick to respond. We had an excellent guide, Peter, who was very informative and ensured we had a great trip. We would highly recommend.

From Brandon making the booking process very easy, to Laurien and Syahfil’s expert guiding, our visit to Deramakot was made so much better by the team at Borneo Eco Tours.

Everyone provided a lot of information before and during the tour, and we felt safe and well looked after throughout. The expert guides were very engaging and knowledgeable about the Borneo wildlife and environment.

Ten out of ten would recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I had an amazing day with Borneo Eco Tours - featuring and nature Center with a canopy walk in the forest, proboscis, monkeys, and sun bears. The tour guides and drivers were very professional and kept the whole trip very interesting. What is amazing about that is the fact that they were able to pull that off on the election day! The way they went about this was to split the tour up into a morning and an afternoon session with two teams total. That way everybody had the chance to cast a vote. Despite the obvious distraction, they were extremely professional about it, and kept the tour very lively and interesting, including discussing bigger, picture topics, such as the unsustainability of palm, tree, farming, or limited, genetic diversity in insular ecosystems or lighthearted topics, such as non-smelly cousins of the durian fruit. Incidentally, we consumed some of that with the team in the afternoon… Overall, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the teams, despite the obvious civic involvement in a federal election.
The communication with the planning/administrative team in Kota Kinabalu was fantastic as well!

We booked a 4d3n tour on the kinabatangan river with a boat transfer from Sandakan. It was absolutely fantastic and well organized.

The Sukau Rain Forest Lodge is a dream and all the staff there were lovely. We stayed at the villa because the Superior rooms were bei g renovated and not acailable.

Our guide Shahrol, who did most rivercruises with us, was great. He had a huge knowledge about Borneo and its flora and fauna. Thank you again for making our tour so special!

Over the years we have engaged a number of tour guides in our travel around the world. Borneo Eco tours would be one our most favorite if not The Favorite. They listened to our requests from the outset and ensured that our needs were met.
Oviera was outstanding and sorted out do many of the hassles caused by Jet Star flight delay. She juggled and rebooked optional tours accommodation etc so that we did not miss out on anything. Can’t Thank her enough.
Then there were our guide Jimmy. Nothing was too much trouble. Looked after us with so much of care and concern.
Chef Teddy at Sukau lodge was excellent sending me dinner to our chalet when he thought that i was ill.
I have been highly recommending Eco Tours to all my family and friends interested in visiting Borneo after seeing our pics.
