A day tour featuring the best primate viewings in Sandakan. Start the day at Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to learn about the plight of the Orang Utan and efforts to save and rehabilitate them as well as added tour to Bornean Sun Bear Centre. We'll then proceed to Labuk Bay reservation area where indigenous primate life is particularly rich including the iconic Proboscis Monkey and also on occasion the Silver Leaf Langur.

Day 1

Day Tour: Sepilok - Labuk Bay - Transfer out

Pickup from Sandakan Airport and depart to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. There, you'll be treated to an enlightening video show about the conservation efforts done at the centre. Enjoy a ten minute walk in the midst of the rainforest and witness the feeding of orangutans at the feeding platform before observing them over at the outdoor nursery. Then, visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre next door to learn more about the smallest bears in the world.

After lunch, we will proceed to Labuk Bay Proboscis Sanctuary. We will trek to witness the feeding of the elusive Proboscis Monkeys and silver leaf langurs at the sanctuary. Transfer to airport for your late afternoon flight or to hotel for extension of stay.

Note on Camera Use at Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre:For any camera with zoom lens from 100 to 400mm, video camera or other video recording equipment for personal use are chargeable at RM10.00 per unit. For any camera (fixed-lens - 400mm and above ) or any film-making equipment are chargeable at RM1,000.00 per unit. Mode of payment is cash only.
