Amazing four day tour with Borneo eco tours! So well organized, the guides were so informative and answered all our wildlife questions! The Sukau lodge accommodation was wonderful, including the information talks, the food and the facilities! We saw the Borneo big 5 thanks to our wonderful guides!!! Orangutans in the wild spotted by our eagle eyed guide was magical, Pygmy elephants crossing in front of our boat on the river - absolutely once in a life time experience!

Our couples trip with Borneo Eco Tour was absolutely magical! We set out to see the "Big Five" animals, and we were not disappointed. The thrill of spotting these incredible creatures in the wild was a highlight of our adventure.

The tour staff were fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the wildlife and environment. They created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. The camp staff were equally impressive, providing excellent service and delicious meals that made us feel right at home.

Each activity was well-planned and engaging, allowing us to fully appreciate the beauty of Borneo. From guided jungle treks to serene river excursions, we felt that every moment was utilized effectively. The guides offered valuable insights, enriching our understanding of the ecosystem.

My wife and I booked a tour and accommodation with Borneo Eco Tours for a week in August 2024. We did their Big 5 tour, but wanted an extra night in Borneo Rainforest Lodge, which they were able to do no problem.

It seems clear to me that Borneo Eco Tours own the highest end accommodation on the Kinabatangan River, being the Sukau Rainforest Lodge. It also seems clear to me that the best accommodation and experience in Borneo is the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. This is owned by the Malaysian government, so has no direct website to book through. Borneo Eco Tours clearly have a good working relationship with them, as all transportation links, bookings and the whole trip was seamless between the two lodges.

In having moved around Borneo a bit, I got the impression that Borneo Eco Tours is the premier tour company in the country. Their vehicles pretty much made up most of the Orangutan Sanctuary in Sepilok. The way they communicate, their conduct and how the generally manage the whole thing, makes it abundantly clear that they are a very well oiled machine.

In addition to having incredible accommodation on the Kinabatangan River, what really made the whole experience so great was the staff and the guides. For us, our guide was Farhan and picked us up in Sepilok for the start of the tour, took us round the Orangutan Sanctuary, transported us down the Kinabatangan River to Sukau Rainforest Lodge, then took us on most of the tours when there. He was nothing short of outstanding - give that man a pay rise! That said though, all the other guides we came into contact were also were exceptional too. They all do hospitality very well, and there is a great sense of giving back to the local community and obviously for conservation within the rainforest.

It would come as no surprise to me that most of the UK travel agents are using Borneo Eco Tours as their go to company for Borneo tours. I would therefore say, why not go straight to the source and book with a local company. They are clearly the market leader, and I genuinely cannot think of a single thing they could have done better.

Fantastic professionally run company on whose boat we went around the orangutan reserves in Borneo. The boat was as very comfortable, and the food made by the cook was simple but delicate cuts. The crew quartet of Johannes (guide) Esun (captain) imul (asst) Yansung (cook) made for a pleasant experiences and went out of their way to help my partner who has balance problems get on and off the boats Also these boats were one of the very view to have cabins in that area Thanks for a wonderful experience
