After feeling slightly confused on how to book our visit to Sabah, I am so happy to have chosen Borneo Eco Tours. Everything was very well organised, the hotels were unbelievably beautiful (sukau rainforest Lodge in particular) and timings were kept to every step of the way. However, the best part was definitely our guide Jonathan. He was so kind and knowledgeable. He answered all of our kids questions (they had so many!) and his English was perfect. Thanks for making our visit so memorable and special!

Cannot speak highly enough of Borneo eco tours - one of the most special trips we have ever done! Organisation and logistics were all incredibly smooth and well done. Extremely responsive to our needs and requirements. And then the experience itself was incredible! Accommodation in the jungle was amazing, and the wildlife experiences (sanctuaries and river safaris) were phenomenal. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Jason was a delightful and knowledgeable guide, who showed us around the kinabalu park and gave us very interesting insights on Bornean culture, traditions and nature. Highly recommended!

We had a truly amazing time! The guides did their best to find all the animals on our wish list, and everyone was friendly and kind. We would highly recommend Borneo Eco Tours.

Fantastic tour around Kinabalu mountain, excellent and friendly guide and driver. wonderful experience. We've explored the rainforest walking on canopy and a magic waterfall!!!

We stayed 3 nights at Sukau Rainforest Lodge, a beautiful tranquil setting along the river with a rainforest boardwalk and pool. The food and customer service were outstanding. The local wildlife guides were very knowledgeable and you can be reassured your Tourism dollars help with ecology and environmental projects protecting the animals and rainforest with Borneo Eco Tours. The staff are all genuinely friendly, happy and helpful. Many have worked with the company a long time- a great sign of a great company culture. The access to wildlife is phenomenal. We were so fortunate the week were were there with the wildlife we saw, seeing the Borneo Big 5 and more. I never dreamt I would get so close to Orang-Utans and Pygmy Elephants in the wild. Take binoculars and get ready for sea legs (that feeling of being on a boat when on land- as you will be speed boating up and down the river to see wildlife at different times of day). The accommodation was very comfortable with aircon and fans and aesthetically pleasing interior design- you even get the loan of a traditional sarong to wear to dinner. I had wanted to do this trip for decades and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this adventure. Loved all of it!

This was another amazing tour with with BET. Have used this company several times, and everything worked perfectly, from the booking process and communication with the lovely Audrey, the travel agent assigned to me, to the final transfer to Lahad Datu, after my Borneo Wildlife Safari in Sukau and Tabin, to fly back to Kota Kinabalu.
As a single traveller I did find it a little difficult to to book, and had to wait until other larger groups booked, so that I could join in, without paying double. This was tricky as I had to fit this trip in with other tours with friends in Sabah. With so many people, especially older women, travelling today, BET might consider some "Singles Deals" to attract this growing market, as other companies do.
As usual, my 2 night stay at Sukau Rainforest Lodge was memorable. So much wildlife to see on land and on the Kinabatangan River, including 'resident' mother and baby orangutans, Lucky and Hope, at the lodge, and two sightings of the pygmy elephants! Managed the Big Five - elephant, proboscis monkey, orangutan, rhinoceros hornbill and crocodile - once again!
Wonderful accommodation in a deluxe room, though missed out on a villa this time, as I was unable to book earlier. Fantastic staff. All so kind and helpful. Highly experienced and knowledgeable local guides and rangers. Food amazing, and all diets catered for. Lovely to catch up with Bar supervisor, Noah, Head chef Teddy and In house Naturalist Suhailie!
I enjoyed my time at the newly opened Utan Rainfoest Lodge (Tabin) as well. but as there is so much construction going on this has effected the sightings of wildlife I remember from last time in this area. I'm sure that once the lodge is completed and gardens established, the wildlife will return in abundance. We did see the rare Irrawaddy dolphins, and the Borneo Ground Cuckoo.
Rooms were spacious and attractive (apart from windows facing building sites) but are not fitted out completely yet. Staff were very kind and approachable, nothing too much trouble, but some guides and trainees lack the knowledge, experience and communication skills of BET's sister resorts. This will come with time. I would consider visiting again but not for at least a year or two.
Food was less varied than Sukau, but some of the best I've experienced in Sabah! An abundance of local fruit, available all day. was a bonus! The pool was lovely, and a welcome respite from the heat!

Fantastic experience, impressive nature ( seen the big 5 three times) extremely helpful and nice staff. We’ve enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Also our guides Yunnus and Yann, they spot all the animals for us on our guided trips.
