Had an incredible 4 days with our guide Yunus. The trip was incredibly well organised from start to finish and made the 4 days we spent on the tour really easy.

We started with 1 night on Selingan island watching the turtles. Quite basic accommodation but everything you need to be able to see the turtles which was an amazing experience.

After the turtle island we went to kinabatabgan for 3 days 2 nights. The whole experience of sukau rainforest lodge with Yunus as our guide was incredible. Hard to put into words how good it was. We saw all of the big 5 and many other animals. We knew before arriving that seeing the big 5 can be quite rare but Yunus knew where to go and at what times to give us the best chance. Which worked great.

Yunus and all of the guides are extremely good at spotting things that you wouldn’t notice otherwise. Their knowledge of the local wildlife took our experience to another level.

We also went to Sepilok orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries plus the rainforest discovery centre.

I would recommend borneo eco tours to anyone as an experience you have to try if you are into nature!

We had an amazing 4 day trip on the Kimabatangan river. All the guides were very knowledgeable and spotted a lot of animals. Everything was carefully planed by Borneo Eco Tours, our only job was to relax and enjoy. Recommend 1000%.

We had a fantastic trip with Borneo Eco Tours. Booked way ahead from home, to make sure we had a spot with the family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids (9&7)).
Pick up at the hotel and straight to the OrangUtan Sactuary. Our guide (Jimmy) gave us some tips in being ahead of the crowds and was very friendly and relaxed.
After also checking the Sunbears (and a good lunch), we went on the boat to the jungle lodge. This is a great spot. Located pretty far up river, but perfect in the middle of the jungle. With proboscis monkeys and orangutans waking you up in the morning, collecting food in the trees in and around the lodge.
We have seen all we wanted to see (big 5) and more.
Jimmy and the rest of the crew was very friendly and helpful.
Although pretty pricy, it was worth it!

A minor comment, some more specific on the clothing advice per trip option would make it easier for many visitors. We saw many people dressed up for a foottrip through the jungle, including us. While in the end, we did not get of the boats at all.

We were met at our hotel in Sandakan and taken to the Orang Utan Sanctuary and Sun Bear Conservation Centre.From there and after lunch we went by boat to the Rain Forest Lodge. The river journey was exciting and as we got closer to the Lodge our anticipation increased. While staying 3 nights at the Lodge we had several boat trips to explore the local wildlife. We were lucky enough to be able to see the Borneo Big 5 on our first full day at the lodge. The Lodge is a great place to relax and the accommodation and food were first class. Our local guides, Paul and Ejon were very knowledgeable and made sure we were well looked after throughout our trip. I would thoroughly recommend the trip, it was amazing!

All the arrangements we had made in Australia were followed through perfectly, from the time we were picked up at the airport to the time we left. A big shout out to our guide, Dean, who had expert knowledge of the flora and fauna we saw and who shared his passion generously. Dean was able to suggest a few changes to our schedule so that we could maximise our time at the various wildlife sanctuaries.
Our guide at Sukau, Kaseem (not sure if we have his spelling correct), was also well informed and passionate. The Lodge itself and staff were great.
Both Dean and Kaseem had excellent wildlife spotting skills and we would highly recommend them both.

Borneo Eco Tours was so fabulous that I can not imagine going to Borneo with anyone else. From start to finish, from the planning stage, to arrival, to transport, food, and the tour itself, this was an unforgettable experience! Our stay at Sukau Rainforest Lodge with Borneo Eco Tours was great. The Lodge is well situated with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The highlight was, of course, the trips on the river for wildlife spotting (we saw the 'Big 5'). Our guide for several of the river trips was Farhan and he continued to amaze us with both his knowledge and his ability to spot animals that we usually couldn't see straight away! The meals (all buffet) had a good variety and catered to a range of eating tastes. Having the pool to relax by in between other activities was a welcome bonus. Borneo Eco Tours are well organised with transport to and from the Lodge and their communication with me from my first email was excellent.

If you are going you must visit the Rainforest Lodge, the lodge itself is beautiful and the wildlife you see whilst staying there and on river cruises is life changing. We made so many incredible memories in Malaysia that will last time and we will definitely book with Borneo Eco Tours when we return.
