This company did the leg work when we went to Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Picked us up from one hotel. Guided us around the orangutan centre in Sepilok and then got us and our cases to the lodge. One there it was them that guided us on the boat trips and other events and then got us and our luggage to the airport. Very knowledgeable and very professional.

They planned everything in such a thoughtful way, I had exposure to the nicest areas, transfers were great and I got to stay in some of the best lodges in Borneo. Strongly recommend!

We booked a tailor-made wildlife holiday through Borneo Eco Tours for a second time in a row and could not be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was exceptionally well organised. Transfers, accommodation, activities and logistics all ran smoothly, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying our holiday rather than worrying about arrangements.

What impressed us most was how effortless the entire trip felt. Moving between different locations in Sabah can be complicated, yet every transfer was waiting for us, every booking was correct, and every detail had clearly been carefully planned. Throughout the journey we felt genuinely looked after.

A special thank you also goes to Brandon and the team for arranging a wonderful birthday surprise for my friend. It was a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that created a very special memory and demonstrated the level of care that Borneo Eco Tours puts into looking after its guests.

The accommodations selected for us were excellent. We particularly enjoyed our stays at Sukau Rainforest Lodge and Utan Rainforest Lodge, both of which offered wonderful wildlife experiences, comfortable accommodation and welcoming staff.

The guides throughout the trip were outstanding. Cliff took excellent care of us during our stay in Sukau, Lee delivered one of the best rainforest treks we have ever experienced, and Azizi made our visit to Gomantong Caves both enjoyable and informative. At Utan Rainforest Lodge, Gabriel went above and beyond to tailor activities to our interests, while Ferris impressed us with her extensive knowledge of wildlife and rainforest ecology. Their expertise added enormous value to the experience.

The wildlife viewing exceeded all expectations. As keen birdwatchers, we were thrilled by the variety of species we encountered, including a frogmouth, alongside countless other memorable sightings. We saw orangutans, proboscis monkeys, langurs, crocodiles, dolphins, civets, otters, flying foxes and many more animals. Some moments, such as the sunset cruise through the mangroves and the spectacular display of fireflies after dark in Utan, are experiences we will remember for the rest of our lives.

As vegetarians, we were also very impressed by the attention given to our dietary requirements. Throughout the trip, meals were thoughtfully prepared and we never felt like an afterthought.

Overall, this was one of the best wildlife holidays we have ever taken. The combination of excellent organisation, knowledgeable guides, beautiful lodges, incredible wildlife and genuine hospitality made for an unforgettable adventure. We would not hesitate to recommend Borneo Eco Tours to anyone looking to experience Sabah’s wildlife and rainforests.

Our party of four friends stayed at the lodge in a delux room for 3 nights during May 2026. The lodge was located on the river with natural surroundings which made for a fabulous setting. The staff at the lodge and guides were very politeWe w and knowledgeable and clearly really enjoyed their working environment. The trips out on the river were memorable both early morning and evening. We saw Grey Leaf Monkeys, Proboscis Monkeys, Long Tailed Macaques, Crocodiles and many species of birds. What made it really special though was seeing the Orangutans going from tree to tree above the lodge with a mother and baby Orangutan. The guides are really enthusiastic and keen to share their knowledge.
The facitlities, rooms and food was excellent at the lodge providing an excellent level of comfort including air conditioning which was much appreciated.
The tour was booked through Audrey at Borneo Eco Tours who answeredd any queries promptly and professionally.
The lodge was the highlight of our adventure in Malaysia and Borneo was very sad to leave.

We had a truly incredible experience right through from start to finish on the 3D 2N Kinabatangan Wildlife Safari. Everything was organised so well, with the highlights being seeing orangutans both in the wild and in conservation, river cruises with so much wildlife up close, and staying in such a beautiful accomodation right in the rainforest. Haiman was our guide who looked after us the whole time, going above and beyond to make sure we were always looked after.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience we will remember forever and are so glad we made the decision to choose this organisation.

Incredible 3 days on the Kinabatangan River at the Sukau Lodge. Beautiful, one of a kind lodge in an incredible part of the world. Couldn't reccomend enough.

Farhan was an amazing guide and really made the trip what it was. Very insightful, funny, and informative while keeping things relaxed and enjoyable. I was also very impressed with Arnold, our other guide who was a true professional and a master of his craft. If you are lucky enough to get one of these two as your guides you are in for a treat!

These guys are fantastic. Top to bottom the best around. Everyone was so genuine and kind. They care about you, the wildlife, and local community. They are excellent guides and will leave you wishing you could’ve stayed longer.
