The Subic Ecotourism Festival 2017 was recently held in the Philippines, at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Centre from 29th May to 1st June.The event highlights and offers insights on ecotourism and sustainable tourism, and its importance to the country from media and communication to architecture, to community development.
Our MD Albert Teo was one of the keynote speakers at the event, together with other renowned international ecotourism experts like Glenn Jampol and Tony Charters, GEN chairman and vice chairman, respectively, and general board members Robert Holmes of Australia, Hitesh Mehta of Kenya, Masaru Takayama of Japan and Nabil Tarazi of Jordan.


Albert Teo’s presentation was titled “Ecotourism: A Natural For ASEAN”, which covered case studies on Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Kiulu Farmstay and his most recent initiative, the Heart of Borne. All of these touched on the efforts Borneo Eco Tours, Sukau Rainforest Lodge and BEST Society are doing currently in the tourism industry in Borneo.

Our MD Albert Teo was also presented with the award of recognition for his significant contribution to the ecotourism industry by the International School of Sustainable Tourism, Philippines.
