STATUS UPDATE:  GOMANTONG FOREST RESERVE OPEN TO VISITORS, CAVES TO REMAIN CLOSED

An important update on one of the popular attractions here in Sandakan, the Gomantong Caves will be on temporary closure until further notice. This is to allow for necessary restoration work on the platforms and handrails to ensure maximum safety for incoming visitors. Operations will resume once work has been completed and deemed safe for the guests which will be announced soon.
