We just finished an unforgettable 4-day jungle stay at Sukau Rainforest Lodge with Borneo Eco Tours.

It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The lodge is beautiful and perfectly integrated into the rainforest.
Our guide, Jorge, was absolutely phenomenal. His knowledge and ability to spot wildlife are world-class. Thanks to him, we managed to see the "Big 5"!

I highly recommend Borneo Eco Tours as a preferred company for a trip to Borneo. Our great experience started with Cindy who was so awesome and great in communication. The tour itself has everything planned, to the point where you feel like everything has been planned two steps ahead of you - you will not be bored and or exhausted. We were so lucky to have Maison as our guide throughout the whole trip - he was was outstanding, so passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making the experience special. His wildlife spotting skills are next level, and he made the whole trip feel very personal.
We stayed at Sukau Rainforest Lodge for two nights and loved every moment of it. It’s such a unique experience—perfect for couples looking for something a bit different without sacrificing comfort.
We were lucky enough to see almost the entire Borneo Big 5 during our stay (the only exception being orangutans around the lodge, though we did spot them earlier at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre). The wildlife here is truly incredible.

We have just finished a 4D,3N tour with this company and can’t recommend them highly enough. From the initial contact we made when planning our trip through to the trip itself, everything was amazing. We were lucky enough to get Clare as our booking coordinator after making the first contact and she was brilliant. She answered the numerous questions we had promptly and thoroughly and was always on hand to help. Before we could even ask her she confirmed that as we were travelling with our 2yr old son she would ensure that we had a car seat to use when travelling by road and a smaller lifejacket when on the river. Someone who is forward thinking like that make travelling so much easier and she is a real asset to the company.
As for the tour itself, everything was planned meticulously and when they said they’d pick you up at a certain time they were there early. The guides we had (Vincent Yatin and Ashraaf) were great with our little boy and were so knowledgeable when it came to the flora and fauna. Answering all the questions we had while being very personable and genuinely enjoying their job. Out on safari we were able to spot the Borneo Big 5 (even if the orangutan was for mere seconds, we’re counting it!) and with the guides all being in contact with each other they were able to take us directly to a point of interest if an animal showed itself. While on the river we stayed in Sukau lodge which was beautiful and the staff there were also incredible, they even helped us to celebrate our son’s second birthday and the food they provide is both plentiful and delicious.
Honestly, I’m usually hesitant to recommend companies to friends in case they have a bad experience but I’ve already told friends who have asked about BET as I’m confident they would have as good as an experience as us. Thank you so much for everything.

Couldn’t recommend this company more! What impressed me most was the seamless organisation, they anticipated all your needs and questions which meant you could truly relax and enjoy your trip. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Their passion for sustainability and the environment was wonderful.

An absolutely amazing adventure from start to finish. A delightful booking experience with William was where it all started and then a brilliant few days spent at the Ecolodge - my wife and I felt that this was probably one of the best experiences we have ever had and we hope to return as soon as we can possibly do so. The lodge, trips on boats or into the rainforest, the wildlife (orangutans, crocodiles to name a few), the food, the guides were all amazing - thank you so much!

We have just returned from a two week holiday in Malaysia which included a 6D5N tour with Borneo Eco Tours. 3 nights at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge on the Kinabatangan River and 2 nights at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge in the Danum Valley. The whole experience was fantastic and we can absolutely recommend Borneo Eco Tours to anyone thinking about this sort of holiday. We started enquiring about the tours last year and our contact Selestica was incredibly helpful. The communication was excellent and they are extremely professional. The organisation throughout the tour could not be faulted - all the transfers were so well organised and the two lodges were a very high standard. The locations are very different, yet completely complementary. At Sukau you spend the day cruising the river in boats looking for the wildlife. In Danum, you are hiking through primary rainforest. Before we went to Borneo, we were warned that we would see Orang-utans at the sanctuary but probably not in the wild. In fact, we saw wild Orang-utans in four different locations, including Danum Valley. Lots of other wildlife of course, but unfortunately the elephants didn't show while we were on the river (30 arrived the day after we left - it's not a zoo). All the more reason for us to go back, which we will. One highlight was seeing the bat exodus at the Gormantong caves at the same time as some close Orang-utan encounters - I've got a video of the bats streaming over the head of an Orang-utan in a tree! Shout out to our guides Mason and Jack (Sakau) and Jill (Danum) who were all great. I even managed to avoid getting a leech stuck on me (my wife didn't). The accomodation was excellent with great food and overall I thought it was excellent value for money. I can unreservedly recommend Borneo Eco Tours if you are considering this sort of holiday.

We LOVED our adventure! Borneo Exo Tours is so organized and professional. They think of everything for your vacation so you are able to just enjoy it. The planning was incredible easy with emailing back and forth, our accommodation were luxurious, and we loved the guides and how they took care of transportation and lunch on our travel days. 10/10 recommend!
